Compensation Package:
- Monthly Earnings: 8,200−8,200−10,500
- Base Rate: 45−45−58/hour
- Overtime: 1.5x after 8 hours (common 60-hour weeks)
- Location Premiums: +$5/hr for remote site work
- Schedule: 14 days on/7 off (common in oil sands) or local 5/2 shifts
Technical Requirements:
- Certifications:
- Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator ticket
- CSTS-09 safety training
- OSSA or BSO certification for oil sites
- Equipment Specialization:
- 90% of work uses 80-300 ton hydraulic cranes
- Experience with tandem lifts preferred
Daily Operations:
- 5:30 AM safety meetings at sites like Shell Scotford
- Coordinating with oil sands maintenance crews
- Rigging and signaling responsibilities
