Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods, packages, or products to customers or business locations on a daily route. The role demands physical stamina, time management skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver items as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently
- Use route planning tools (GPS) to optimize delivery times
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Inspect the vehicle regularly and report maintenance issues
- Follow company protocols for delivery handling and safety
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license with good driving record
- Previous experience in delivery or courier services is preferred
- Ability to lift and carry packages (20–50 lbs)
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Familiarity with Etobicoke and GTA roads
- Basic English communication skills
- May require police clearance and/or background check
