Refuse Truck Driver – Automated Side Loader

Job Duties:

• Operate automated side-load garbage trucks for city contracts (e.g., GFL, Waste Connections)
• Service 800–1,200 homes per shift using robotic arm controls
• Complete daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs)

Requirements:

• Class 3 (DZ) license with air brakes
• Provincial waste collection certification (e.g., Ontario’s OWMA training)
• Ability to work in extreme weather (-30°C winters to +35°C summers)

Avg. Earnings:

• 28–28–42 CAD/hour (+5–5–8/hour night shift differential)
