    Overview
    We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. The Delivery Driver will operate various vehicles, including those requiring commercial driving qualifications, and may also handle freight and heavy equipment.

    Duties

    • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
    • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
    • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
    • Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and fuel consumption.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
    • Assist with basic automotive repairs or maintenance as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
    • Experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class is required.
    • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and best practices for safe transportation of goods.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in managing unexpected situations during deliveries.
    • Basic automotive repair skills are a plus, enabling quick troubleshooting of vehicle issues on the road.
