    Transdev Canada is hiring Casual Conventional Bus Drivers for our Duncan location !

    As a Conventional Bus Driver, you will be responsible on transporting passengers on public transit vehicles while ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. This is a casual unionized position.

    Your Role
    • Safely operate a full-sized transit bus on assigned fixed routes, following schedules and dispatch instructions.
    • Provide courteous and professional service to passengers, answering questions and assisting with fare-related inquiries.
    • Ensure accessibility for all passengers, including assisting those with mobility devices when required.
    • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is safe and operational.
    • Maintain accurate trip records and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route issues.
    • Ensure a clean and presentable vehicle interior, reflecting Transdev’s commitment to quality service.
    • Adhere to Transdev’s standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.

    Your Profile
    • You possess a Valid Class 2 BC Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement (or higher), with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
    • You have a safe driving record with no recent violations or preventable accidents.
    • You possess a strong customer service and communication skills.
    • You have the ability to manage challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
    • Familiarity with Duncan’s geography and road network is an asset.
    • You must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements: Medical assessment, Drug and alcohol test, Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check, and Trainability evaluation.

    Your location:
    • Casual, on-call, unionized position.
    • Must be available five (5) days per week, with two consecutive days off (schedules may vary).
    • Shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and split shifts depending on operational needs.

    Responsibilities
    • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with the primary contacts at each account, acting as a PepsiCo ambassador.
    • Providing accurate, timely product deliveries and unloading product as directed by the customer
    • Processing invoices and handling daily settlement of accounts
    • Stocking and rotating product in various environments, merchandising to standard at all accounts

    Physical demands and working conditions:

    • You will be exposed to a variety of weather and temperature ranges, and you will safely operate the equipment during poor road and driving conditions

    Qualifications
