Delivery Driver

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

APT is a Canadian family owned / operated business. For over 40 years APT Auto Parts has been providing quality aftermarket parts for the collision industry throughout Canada. We are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join our outstanding team of professionals in the position of Parts Delivery Driver!

Job Duties

• Operate and drive vehicles to transport goods to customers
• Load vehicle with product in an efficient and organized manner to minimize damage to parts and speed up deliveries
• Lift and move product up to 75 lbs.
• Drive the company vehicle following all road rules, speed limits and in a courteous manner as a representative of APT Auto Parts Trading
• Ensure safe driving practices i.e.; having head lights on in inclement weather
• Clean and make minor repairs to vehicle to maintain appropriate service levels
• Provide feedback to management regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
• Communicate with Warehouse Manager and other drivers to receive information, and updates
• Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
• Ensure that all C.O.D. orders are paid on delivery
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections on vehicle and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness

Job Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
• Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas is an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian driving rules and regulations
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
