Bus Driver

Job description

Bus drivers play an important role in the Canadian transport system. We are looking for qualified professionals to fill the Bus Driver position.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Operate buses to transport passengers along scheduled routes or for chartered trips.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
• Collect fares and issue tickets if applicable.
• Adhere to traffic regulations and follow designated routes.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical integrity of the bus.
• Communicate with passengers regarding schedules, stops, and safety instructions.
• Handle unexpected situations or emergencies professionally and calmly.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with passengers. Keep accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and passenger counts.
• Collaborate with dispatchers or transportation coordinators for scheduling and route adjustments.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience

Licensed to operate a public passenger vehicle (Licensed as PPV)

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
