Automotive Detailer and Helper

Job Summary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer / Shop Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This hybrid role combines responsibilities of both vehicle detailing and general support within the shop, offering a dynamic and hands-on work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of vehicles, both interior and exterior, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and techniques to ensure the best results without damaging vehicle surfaces.
• Inspect vehicles for any damages or issues that need attention and report findings to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing area and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with detailing services.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks performed.
• Assist mechanics and technicians with basic tasks such as moving vehicles, organizing tools, and cleaning the shop area.
• Transport parts and materials within the shop and to/from local suppliers as needed.
• Perform light maintenance duties such as tire changes, fluid top-ups, and battery boosting under supervision.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Support vehicle intake and preparation processes, including tagging keys, parking vehicles, and updating job status boards.
• Respond to general requests from the service team to ensure efficient shop operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive detailing or working in a shop environment is an asset, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition with the ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of hands-on responsibilities.
