Operate and maintain BC’s expanding fleet of 200+ electric buses while serving regular transit routes, combining driving with basic EV maintenance.
Hybrid Role Compensation:
- Monthly Earnings: 6,500−6,500−7,800
- Base Driving Wage: $32.50/hr
- Technical Premium: $6.25/hr for maintenance work
- Certification Bonuses: Up to $2,500 annually
- Schedule: 4-day work weeks with alternating shop days
Dual-Role Responsibilities:
- Morning route driving (e.g., #99 B-Line)
- Afternoon battery diagnostics
- On-road charging management
- Passenger EV education
Required Qualifications:
- Licenses/Certs:
- Class 2 with Air Brake
- BC Electric Vehicle Technician ticket
- High Voltage Safety Training
- Skills Cross-Training:
- 6-week paid apprenticeship program
- Ongoing software update training
