You’re the steady, friendly presence employees rely on to get across campus. Navigating traffic with confidence, offering a professional greeting at every stop, and helping people arrive at the right building right on time. You’re not just driving a shuttle, you’re supporting the daily rhythm of an entire workplace, ensuring staff can focus on their roles while you handle the commute between facilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate a 14-passenger shuttle van safely and confidently
- Perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects
- Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies
- Provide professional, courteous, and patient customer service
- Maintain accurate manifests, ride logs, and any special-assistance notes
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and team members via radio
- Follow assigned schedules, adapting calmly to delays when needed
- Assist passengers, including those requiring accessibility support, within safe limits
- Stay composed and professional in stressful or emergency situations
- Complete all paperwork, handovers, and vehicle checks with attention to detail
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license (a class 1 or 2 license will also be considered)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Successful criminal background check
- Successful pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Strong verbal communication and radio-communication skills
- Punctual, reliable, and consistent attendance
- Positive attitude, patience, and excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail for inspections and record keeping
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with Edmonton and University of Alberta campus routes
- Previous shuttle-driving experience
What We Offer:
