On-Demand Employee Shuttle Driver

Pay: CA$36.50 per hour

You’re the steady, friendly presence employees rely on to get across campus. Navigating traffic with confidence, offering a professional greeting at every stop, and helping people arrive at the right building right on time. You’re not just driving a shuttle, you’re supporting the daily rhythm of an entire workplace, ensuring staff can focus on their roles while you handle the commute between facilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Operate a 14-passenger shuttle van safely and confidently
  • Perform full pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects
  • Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies
  • Provide professional, courteous, and patient customer service
  • Maintain accurate manifests, ride logs, and any special-assistance notes
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch and team members via radio
  • Follow assigned schedules, adapting calmly to delays when needed
  • Assist passengers, including those requiring accessibility support, within safe limits
  • Stay composed and professional in stressful or emergency situations
  • Complete all paperwork, handovers, and vehicle checks with attention to detail

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Class 4 driver’s license (a class 1 or 2 license will also be considered)
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Successful criminal background check
  • Successful pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Strong verbal communication and radio-communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and consistent attendance
  • Positive attitude, patience, and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail for inspections and record keeping

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with Edmonton and University of Alberta campus routes
  • Previous shuttle-driving experience

What We Offer:
